To celebrate the biggest summer of cricket in a generation and underline NatWest’s 38th year of partnership with English cricket, NatWest launched a series of social content, under its #NoBoundaries campaign.
‘Freddie v Freddie’ is an unmissable piece of content featuring former England star, Freddie Flintoff, on the eve of the Cricket World Cup semi-final against Australia.

Utilising new BOLA bowling machine technology – which can provide an exact recreation of the selected over featuring identical pace, length, swing and spin – NatWest were able to programme any over from the past 38 years of English cricket.

NatWest asked the fans to vote for their favourite from a shortlist and they voted in their thousands for Freddie to face his own over against Australia, at Edgbaston from the unforgettable 2005 Ashes Series – and so Freddie v Freddie took place.

The content went live across Facebook, Instagram TV and twitter.

The activation is part of the third year of the NatWest #NoBoundaries campaign, which celebrates NatWest’s Principal Partnership with the England & Wales Cricket Board from grassroots to the elite as part of the broader ‘We are what we do’ brand belief.
